A Playground In Memory of Robert S. Mallouk

PfP is moving ahead with construction of a community garden and playground in loving memory of Robert S. Mallouk, through the generosity of his family and friends. The playground, located in el Bireh at al Yasmin Society will serve children of various abilities and will be accessible. Robert S.   …helping children reclaim their childhoods Save The Date! Playgrounds for Palestine will hold it’s annual fundraiser dinner on May 4th, 2013 at UPenn’s Hall of Flags in Philadelphia, PA. We hope you will mark your calendars to join us for another evening with friends.  Details will follow in the coming days We’re Going To Palestine! In a couple of weeks, Hanan Urick, our newly elected PfP Chair of the Board, will be traveling to Palestine to help launch a new initiative to build 10 new playgrounds in various Palestinian towns throughout the West Bank.  PfP and Tomorrow’s Youth Organization (TYO) will collaborate with local community groups and contractors to construct playgrounds that are safe, inviting, and stimulating for children. Sinjil, Flying Paper, Olive Oil

  Can’t see images? Click here to view in browser  PfP Is Happy To Announce… Another Playground Built! …this one is in Sinjil, a remote small village in the Ramallah District. Sinjil KG is owned and run by the Women’s Charitable Society.  It accommodates ~180 children and has 10 teachers.   In addition to erecting this playground, PfP contributed to the renovation of the KG, including tiling the floors, painting walls, and updating toilet facilities used by the children and staff.  All work was done in coordination with The Welfare Society.   For more information and photos, click here. Wishing you love and wonder, The PfP Board A Playground for Deir Ammar Preschool… In Loving Memory of Cynthia Laitman We are delighted and honored to announce the completion of a playground in memory of an extraoridnary and beautiful soul, Cynthia Laitman.   The project was made possible through the love and support of her sister, Judith Laitman, her friends, and the Madison, WI chapter of Playgrounds for Palestine.   Deir Ammar is a rural village in the West Bank, west of Ramallah, with approximately 3,800 inhabitants. Just northwest of the village is the Deir Ammar refugee camp, where 2,303 refugees reside. Both the village and the refugee camp …
