On behalf of all of us at PfP, we would like to wish you a blessed Ramadan. Whether you’re Muslim or otherwise, we hope this cherished month will surround you in the warmth of love, family, friends, good health, healing, joy, restored appreciation for life, and an enhanced sense of your personal power to affect change in the world. We are continuing our work serving the children of Palestine, particularly those in Gaza. As you know, last year we set up the Phoenix School in Deir el Balah. Since the ceasefire, the children graduated, and the families in that encampment have moved back to the north, to the rubble of their homes.

Throughout this impossibly difficult year, all of us at PfP would like to thank you for making our work possible. Your commitment to the rights of Palestinian children is more essential now than ever as we support our brothers and sisters in Gaza while they rebuild. If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll have seen postings of our activities in Gaza over the past two years. Since early 2024, we have diverted all of our resources to Gaza’s children, to help them not only survive, but to thrive despite the enormous deprivations.   We have now established two schools, one in Gaza City and one in Deir el Balah. The Phoenix School was our first, with multiple start and stops due to ongoing bombings.  But it is finally re-established in Gaza City and running for the second year in a row, with approximately 200 students.  Our second school, established in August at the start of the new school year, is operating successfully in Deir el Balah, serving approximately 300 students.   To see photos and videos from our schools, click here (Modern Childhood), and here (Phoenix).  The purposeful decimation of Palestinian society

PfP sponsored an ongoing kitchen in Rafah to feed several hundred families per day throughout the month of Ramadan. PfP created a hakawatiyyeh tent for after Iftar storytelling. With PfP’s support, Safaa, a former schoolteacher, is bringing joy to children in the camps with regular activities like puzzles, crafts, coloring, and story time. PfP working with local Palestinian organizations dedicated to uplifting children in need through food distribution and aid. We are grateful for all your support.
