…helping children reclaim their childhoods

March 29 2016

Dear Friends of PfP,

Tickets are going fast for our annual fundraiser dinner, the evening of SATURDAY, APRIL 2, 2016

It’s not likely that we will be able to accommodate ticket sales at the door this year; so, if you’re planning to attend, please reserve your tickets here.

The dinner will take place at the exquisite, gorgeous space of “Material Culture” in Philly (see pictures below).  And back by popular demand, both Remi Kanazi and Farah Siraj will join us!

Both artists took our breath away in past events and we feel so privileged to have them back, in the same evening no less!

Remi is a spoken word artist.  His powerful, defiant, gut-punching poetry is profoundly human and it will break your heart at the same time that it provokes your own sense of power.  Farah Siraj’s ethereal voice is entrancing and enchanting in a way that will leave you haunted with a sense of unexpected, unknown beauty.

Of course, we’ll also share the usual awesome Middle Eastern cuisine, silent auction, presentations, love, community, kid stuff, raffle, and more.

Can’t wait to see you!

Love,

All of us at PfP

PS.  If you’ve visited our website recently, you’ll see that it hasn’t been updated in a while. We’re working on a whole new website that we will unveil in a few months.  We’re still an all volunteer organization and we’re working as hard and fast as we can.  Thank you for being patient with us.

Movie Nights

The community LOVES movie nights! susan abulhawa brought a projector to Gaza when she went there and it has been a huge hit. PfP staff charge it by day, and by evening, the projector offers a small sense of normalcy and escape for people trying to survive genocide.
