PfP Comes to the United Kingdom

After attending the February 10th fundraising dinner in Philadelphia, despite being unceremoniously thrown at door and cleaning duties, Iyas came back to England and with Tony determined that they would set up the organisation’s first arm outside of Philadelphia.

We are working with the Charities Commission in the UK to obtain charitable status, and have set up our first fundraising event, a sponsored bicycle ride from London to Paris on 14th September.

The UK founders added “In the first instance, we will focus on fundraising. We will piggy-back the great work done to date in Philadelphia, where many potential sites have been identified, and the logistics are already in place. In time, we may move to developing a network in Palestine to supplement the existing one and make sure we are always looking for opportunities to maximise use of our effort and funds.”

If you want to help us fill these sites with play and laughter, please feel free to sponsor our bike ride, or indeed to donate to your local branch in Philadelphia. We hope that this will be the first of many Playgrounds for Palestine organisations to sprout outside of Philadelphia.
